Analog Sound Sources
The application sources its sounds from custom-created analog multisamples, each featuring four velocity layers. The samples derive from two distinctive analog synthesizers—one characterized by warm, pitch-drifting voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), and the other utilizing precise digitally controlled oscillators (DCOs). Additionally, two electric guitars, a steel-string and a nylon hybrid, provide smooth ambient tones through clean recordings, looping to produce sounds that often diverge from traditional guitar timbres.

Independent Layers
DroneLab Pro offers two independent layers capable of loading multisamples. Each layer incorporates BPM-synced filter modulation, with options to allow layers to drone autonomously or be controlled via the onscreen keyboard or external MIDI.

Environmental Sounds
An added layer of sound effects comprises rain, stream, river, and city sounds recorded specifically for this application. These ambient sounds can be employed as they are or modulated to create unique yet natural auditory effects.

Global Reverb
The app features a versatile global reverb that can be adjusted to enhance the richness and depth of sounds. Each layer possesses independent reverb controls.

• With just your iPad: Users can directly engage with sounds through the app, allowing for independent droning or interaction with the onscreen keyboard. Options for chromatic play or selection from various scales—such as major, minor, harmonic minor, and mixolydian—enhance creative possibilities. Factory presets provide notes and scales that integrate seamlessly.
• With an external MIDI controller: Connecting a class-compliant USB MIDI controller facilitates note playing and parameter adjustments.
• As an AUv3 plugin: DroneLab Pro can be integrated into applications like Logic Pro, Garageband, Cubasis, AUM Mixer, or any iPad app supporting AUv3 hosting. All audio settings are saved within user projects and can be automated through the host application.
